HELP PREVENT CHILDHOOD DROWNINGS
In memory of Juliette Eileen Ortega
July 12, 2007 – July 19, 2010
Your help is needed to reduce drowning deaths.
The YMCA of Greater Houston is committed to making families safer around the water by providing swim lesson instruction and parent education in an effort to eliminate drownings and save lives.
Drowning is the leading cause of unintentional, injury-related death among children ages 1 to 4, and Texas ranks second nationally in drowning deaths.
The Juliette Ortega Endowment Fund was established in memory of Juliette to improve water safety in our community. The purpose of the fund is to reduce drowning deaths in West Fort Bend County through water safety, education and outreach activities provided by the YMCA so that no family would have to experience the tragedy of losing a child to drowning.
We invite you to support these efforts by making a donation to Juliette Ortega Endowment Fund. Together, we can make an impact and eliminate drowning deaths in our community.
For gifts larger than $5,000 or to set up a multi-year payment plan, please contact Jess Stuart at Jesss@ymcahouston.org.
