About the YMCA of Greater Houston
For More Than 140 Years, Strengthening Houston
For more than 140 years, the YMCA of Greater Houston has strengthened communities by putting Judeo-Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.
Today, we serve families across Greater Houston through membership centers, early childhood education, after school programs, youth sports, swim lessons, teen leadership development, community impact services, and overnight camp.
As a nonprofit organization, we are committed to helping every person reach their full potential, regardless of age, income, or background.
Stronger Through Connection
Lasting impact begins with connection. When people feel seen and supported, they belong — and belonging fuels achievement.
Across Greater Houston, the YMCA creates environments where youth gain confidence, families grow healthier, and communities become more inclusive. Every program is designed to strengthen relationships that lead to long-term growth and stability.
