MLK Day of Service is a federal holiday observed as a National Day of Service. It calls for Americans from all walks of life to work together to provide solutions to issues we face everyday in our communities

Monday, January 16, YMCAs throughout the Greater Houston Area will host service events to honor Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service. We invite you to join us in serving the community. View our list of available projects below.

YMCA International Services
Volunteers will be working in the YMCA International Services warehouse organizing clothes and essential items, and restocking shelves. The YMCA International Services warehouse provides necessary items to newcomers in our community.
10 am-2 pm | Ages 10 and up

Fort Bend & TW Davis Family YMCAs
Volunteers will be working at the Fort Bend Women’s Center sorting donations at their resale stores. 2 locations to choose from: 501 E. Hwy 90, Richmond, TX 77406 and 13645 Murphy Rd. Stafford, 77477
10:30 am-1 pm | Ages 12+

Volunteers will be cleaning up Tom Wussow Park in the Greenspoint area.

The Woodlands and Holcomb Family YMCAs PROJECT IS FULLĀ 
Join us to address food insecurity by sorting and bagging food at the Montgomery County Food Bank. There will be two available shifts, 9 am-Noon, 1-4 pm
