1886 Member Giving Society
Since 1886, the YMCA of Greater Houston has been an integral part of the community. Every time that there is a deeper or greater need, the Y shows up to ensure that people don’t go without assistance. The 1886 Society recognizes YMCA member donors who commit to making a lasting impact in their community through a recurring monthly gift to the YMCA Annual Campaign. Members of the 1886 Society ensure that the YMCA is there to provide opportunities for all.
The YMCA of Greater Houston meets the Better Business Bureau’s standards for charity accountability. The BBB’s 20 Standards for Charity Accountability were developed to assist donors in making sound giving decisions and to foster public confidence in charities, and we are proud to carry its distinction.
