YMCA Camp Cullen’s legacy extends well beyond a summer at Lake Livingston. Camping in Houston has a long history, with our roots tracing back to 1910 with YMCA Camp Rollover on the Bolivar Peninsula. Over the years, the YMCA has expanded its camping footprint across Texas, with camps like YMCA Camp Sandy Hook, YMCA Camp Mays, and many more.

Camp Cullen began in 1975 and continues to serve individuals of all ages, building on the rich tradition and impact of YMCA camping. Despite challenges such as a devastating fire in 2010 and the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the extended Camp Cullen family has always rallied together, emerging stronger than ever.
